How a Systems Engineer Will Make an Impact
- Support customer’s technical staff to broaden technical capabilities through 3rd‑party contracts and internal partnerships.
- Draft documentation and support the contracting process through SSJ, SOW, requirements, etc. products.
- Foster communication between partners to ensure high quality products are delivered on‑time and on‑budget.
- Develop expertise in special areas and serve as a technical SME on designated topics.
- Secure approvals and conduct field tests of systems under development.
- Contribute to the approval process for the deployment of technical systems as technical SME.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements, such as user requirements sessions.
- Lead technical efforts that support the O&M of deployed systems.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline) or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
- Experience: 10+ years
- Demonstrated systems engineering expertise supporting full‑lifecycle development of complex hardware/software systems.
- Proven experience drafting requirements, managing program reviews, working with 3rd‑party vendors, generating test plans, and guiding troubleshooting.
- Ability to champion new technical solutions and manage efforts across short and intermediate timelines.
- Experience supporting customer contracting processes.
- Strong ability to draft technical documentation for different audiences.
- Hands‑on experience validating and testing technical systems, including test plan development, testing coordination, and test report documentation.
- Experience with customer approval processes for technical testing and system deployment.
- Strong technical knowledge in RF systems, network infrastructure, communication protocols, quality standards, and manufacturing.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Location: McLean, VA (On Customer Site)
US Citizenship Required.
Salary range: $164,900 - $223,100. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
