Job summary

AutoZone Data Management is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a growing tech team. The role emphasizes Python-based engineering, automation, ETL/data workflow support, and Linux/Unix admin skills, with Java/J2EE support as needed.

You'll drive the transition, implementation, and production operation of services, using Terraform, AWX, CI/CD, REST APIs, and Oracle stored procedures. Strong collaboration and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/IT/CS or related field required.
• 4–7 years in Software/Systems Engineering or similar technical role.
• Experience designing cloud-native apps in Google Cloud. IaC or Terraform preferred.
• Strong Python background with ability to support Java/J2EE tech.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems and services run smoothly, reliably, and efficiently.
• Develop Python-based services, scripts, and data workflows; support Java/J2EE apps.
• Automate tasks using Linux/Unix scripting, CI/CD, IaC, and AWX runbooks.
• Support ETL/data workflows and AI-enabled engineering practices as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to plan, test, deploy, and support releases.
• Monitor, log, and troubleshoot production systems; analyze issues and risks.
