Job summary

CAC I International Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer - Product Lead to drive software development for synthetic aperture radar technologies.

The role involves leading design and integration of algorithms and software, working with radar/EO experts, and preparing for future Product Owner or Program Manager responsibilities. The position requires active TS/SCI clearance, strong programming skills (Python/C++/Rust), Linux/AWS experience, and a track record in delivering mission-critical software.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field; four years of professional experience in software or signals processing in lieu of a degree; or military background in electronic warfare and/or signals processing.
• 7+ years of related software or systems engineering experience.
• Experience with a programming language (Python, C++, Rust).
• Familiarity with Linux and/or cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex, mission critical software systems.
• Excellent communication skills and interest in customer interaction, strategic planning, and program leadership.
• Ability to learn quickly and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Learn about SAR collection and processing techniques.
• Lead design, development, and optimization of software supporting radar and sensor technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and integration pathways.
• Translate algorithm definitions into robust software applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer for future leadership.
• Participate in backlog refinement, feature prioritization, and requirements grooming.
