Job summary

GE Aerospace in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Systems Engineer – Product Integration to drive cross-functional systems engineering across the product lifecycle. You will translate business and technical requirements into integrated solutions, manage requirements, interfaces, validation planning, and risk control, and support configuration and delivery across teams.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (in-office Tue–Thu) with an extensive relocation package for eligible candidates and a base pay

Qualifications

Job Description Summary

The Systems Engineer – Product Integration is responsible for driving cross‑functional systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle, from concept and design through production and operation. This role ensures business and technical requirements are translated into integrated system solutions that meet customer needs, performance expectations, and quality standards. The position supports product and component integration, requirements management, interface definition, validation and verification planning, risk management, and configuration control. This role impacts departmental execution and requires strong technical judgment, collaboration, and disciplined execution within established engineering practices. The location for this position is Grand Rapids, MI on at least a hybrid basis (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office) : An extensive corporate relocation package is also available for eligible candidates.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and support system integration activities across components, modules, and products to ensure maximum system performance, operability, and compliance.
• Manage system and product requirements, including development, flow down, traceability, and alignment across component owners, suppliers, subcontractors, and partner teams.
• Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product or system, including system‑level test planning, execution support, and closure of verification evidence.
• Define and communicate product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and external partners.
• Manage interfaces between components, teams, and execution organizations to ensure integrated product development and successful program execution.
• Drive CTQ and risk trades with design teams to balance technical performance, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Maintain oversight of the overall product configuration, including support for configuration management and configuration control processes.
• Apply technical knowledge and prior experience to execute engineering work in alignment with established policies, strategies, and business objectives.
• Work across teams and functions to support planning, execution, issue resolution, and on‑time delivery of engineering commitments.
• Use sound judgment and analytical thinking to evaluate options, solve technical problems, and escalat. Provide informal guidance and technical support to less experienced team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or a related technical discipline; or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in a relevant engineering or technical function.
• Experience in systems engineering, product integration, requirements management, validation and verification, or related technical disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to work across functions and coordinate technical activities involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship status.

Base Pay and Bonus

The base pay range for this position is $95,000.00 - $127,000.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
