Job Description:

The Windows Hosting Engineer has a critical role in the handling of incidents and operation of a large Enterprise Windows hosting environment. Specifically, this role will serve as the first line triaging of service requests and incidents to ensure that the right team is assigned and progressing in resolution. The ideal candidate has experience with Citrix administration and management, BigFix, Microsoft Data Services (MDS), and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • This is a remote position but will require candidate to come onsite to DMV area for meetings.
  • You need to be based out of one of the following states: AZ, DC, FL, GA, OH, OK, ME, MD, NC, SC, TX, UT, VA, or WV.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' related experience or 12+ years' related experience in lieu of degree.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
  • Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
  • Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
  • Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
  • Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.
  • Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Prepares detailed specifications for programs. Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
  • Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure applications designs meet business requirements.
  • Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering release and utilities from manufacturer.
  • Design, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.
  • Provides overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
  • Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
  • Evaluates new and existing software products.
