OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seekinga motivated Systems Engineer. This role involves defining, analyzing, verifying, validating, and testing requirements for a variety of Missile Defense software Modeling & Simulation (M&S) products. As a key team member, you will help develop Systems Engineering products in a Model-Based Engineering (MBE) environment, supporting the technical lead and cross-functional teams throughout the program lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Define, maintain, and evolve technical baselines for Missile Defense software M&S products
2. Support capability enhancements and updates in an Agile environment
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage requirements
4. Contribute to system design, integration, and verification/validation activities
5. Support the development lifecycle, including documentation and milestone reviews
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of related experience OR Master’s degree in STEM and 0 years of experience
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
3. Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
4. Understanding of software systems, development lifecycles (V-model), and system configuration
5. Knowledge of Missile Defense System operations and mission
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills
PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS
7. Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years of related experience OR Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years of experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
10. Experience with Modeling and Simulation systems
11. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) knowledge (SysML/UML)
12. Background with MDA elements (GMD, Aegis BMD, C2BMC, etc.)
13. Familiarity with Agile or SAFe development environments
14. Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
15. INCOSE or similar certification
16. Proven ability to identify process improvements and increase efficiency
