Description

As a System Engineer in our fast-growing and innovative team, you will help maintain and support large-scale systems that power dynamic ad insertion (DAI) for live sports and live events. Your work will directly impact millions of viewers worldwide, ensuring seamless ad delivery with high performance and low latency. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex problems in the high throughput, real-time streaming domain, providing customers with an exceptional viewing experience.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive continual improvement in systems operations through tool building and automation.
  • Conduct root cause analyses.
  • Scale our services: Lead planning, forecasting, and technical approaches to operate at peak scale.
  • Monitor and report on the health of our services at an executive level.
  • Collaborate with and learn from world-class leaders to meet world-class challenges every day.
  • Work in an environment where operational excellence is the top priority, and automation is emphasized.
A day in the life

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of relevant hands-on systems engineering and administrative experience in cloud-based administration.

Knowledge and high proficiency in AWS services.

Experience supporting live events and streaming services (monitoring, troubleshooting, scaling).

Basic Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline with a focus on software development.
  • Must be currently enrolled in university with graduation dates starting December 2019 or later.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java).
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle ambiguous or undefined challenges.
