Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Systems Engineer for on-market support in Tucson, AZ. This contract, on-site role requires 4+ years of engineering experience and a degree in engineering, with preference for FDA/FAA-regulated backgrounds.

You will lead test method development, DoE, data analysis, and report generation while collaborating with the development partner. The position emphasizes hands-on testing, sensor data analysis, and robust technical documentation, with pay range $40–$50 per hour

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments.
• General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.
• Assists in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.
• Makes independent decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Method Development, DoE, data analysis (python coding capability)
• Digital outputs of a sensor and analyze the data
• Test bed development
• Troubleshooting skills
• Developing comprehensive testing plans.
• Executing hands-on testing protocols
• Authoring detailed technical reports.
• Managing the defect lifecycle (collection, documentation, and summarization for our development partner).

Must Have Skills

• Risk and requirements management experience
• Solid technical writing skills (e.g., protocols, reports, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with complex electro-mechanical systems

Education & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred)
• Years of Experience: 4 yrs+
• Experience in a FDA or FAA regulated environment is a strong plus; Medical device industry is ideal

Pay Rate Range: $40-50/hr depending on experience
