Job summary

Jobtailor in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to contribute to the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program on the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product. You will develop and assist in the requirements process supporting GWS capabilities for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work with diverse teams, and apply MBSE, DOORS, and Cameo to deliver robust product solutions while communicating clearly and documenting concepts in work products

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
• 2 years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree and 0-2 years of related work experience
• Solid understanding of system engineering processes and principles
• Proven experience in applying system engineering to develop product solutions
• Familiar with DOORS, Cameo, and MBSE
• Experience with Software development and the verification of requirements
• Experience with a large-scale missile defense system like GMD
• Good communication skills
• Ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Support an in-person / closed-area work environment
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
