Job summary

Type One Energy is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of our stellarator fusion energy technologies. The role involves cross-disciplinary collaboration across Physics, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to ensure integrated system functionality.

You will contribute to functional analysis, requirements development, system integration, and verification planning, working with HTS/LTS magnets and formal documentation.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in Engineering or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with design of complex systems (for mid-level position).
• Experience with System Design methodologies and applications such as Cameo Systems Modeler for overall system design and requirements management.
• Experience developing system architectures, requirements, interfaces, verification plans, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with HTS and LTS magnets from a design or manufacturing background is a plus.

Your role in the mission:

Type One Energy Group is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach in the development of our stellarator fusion energy technologies. Experience across the project lifecycle including functional analysis and requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, and risk analyses is desired.

This role will support our magnet engineering team and focus on integration with Physics, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
