Position Summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Systems Engineer Level 2/3 to support the Next Generation Launch Equipment (NGLE) program in Chandler, AZ. The role requires a U.S. citizen with an interim or active Secret clearance and involves 10% travel. No relocation assistance is available.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, decompose, refine and document key requirements and capabilities.
• Support system‑level end‑to‑end performance assessments and identify and lead resolution of performance gaps relative to stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate with senior systems engineers and other disciplines to support the development of deliverables.
• Generate and document system‑level requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system‑level verification/data review activities.
• Manage requirement changes in the Requirements Management databases, working effectively with IPT leaders and team members.
• Create and manage original and revised specification/interface definition documents and coordinate document approval through peer review and signature process.
• Support risk management by identifying potential risks.
• Manage aspects of system design, analyses, interface verification, testing, minor failure/anomaly resolution or mission operations.
• Participate in the creation and management of changes to system or subsystem analytical models.
• Apply agile principles and facilitate agile development processes.
• Support the development and execution of technical reviews for the program.

Basic Qualifications

• Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with no experience.
• Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Interim or active Secret clearance (government clearance required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in team environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBSE experience (Cameo or similar).
• Curiosity about advancements in the space sector.

Salary

Level 2: $79,300 – $118,000. Level 3: $98,400 – $147,600.
