Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Systems Engineer Lead to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.

This role will lead systems engineering lifecycle efforts in support of complex Department of Defense programs, with a strong emphasis on integration, technical coordination, and the maintenance of critical engineering artifacts. The position serves as a key interface between customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to keep program objectives moving forward. You will partner closely with the technical program manager and cross-functional contributors to shape technical roadmaps, manage risks, and support disciplined execution across the program.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,300 – $237,350 annually

Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in Systems Engineering Lifecycle phases
  • Maintain systems engineering artifacts
  • Serve as the primary interface with customer and stakeholders
  • Lead technical information exchange to support program goals
  • Develop technical roadmaps with the technical program manager
  • Document risks, requirements, and system constraints effectively
  • Deliver performance feedback and guidance to team members
Qualifications
  • Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI clearance required
  • BS in a relevant field with 12-15 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 10-13 years of experience
  • Proven knowledge of systems engineering principles for DoD programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration
  • Experience in cross-functional team planning and system integration activities
  • Ability to work with diverse disciplines and technical expertise levels
  • Familiarity with SysML and Agile program tools
