Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation seeks a Cloud Solutions Architect to design, optimize, and enhance cloud-based architectures for ESS operational requirements. The role supports a government client in Arlington, VA, with emphasis on secure, scalable AWS solutions and automation.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in relevant work and 5+ years on AWS, plus strong IaC, security, and DevOps collaboration skills. Active TS/SCI clearance is required. ARSIEM offers a path to impactful government work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience designing cloud architectures, preferably on AWS.
• 8+ years of directly relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
• Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation for migration of on-prem capabilities into the AWS cloud.
• Customize capabilities to align with engagement scope, technical, and operational parameters.
• Develop automation frameworks to streamline provisioning and deployment processes.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates and documentation.
• Ensure architecture supports rapid reconfiguration for dynamic mission needs.
• Implement security controls including encryption, namespace obfuscation, and hardened configurations.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to improve operational capabilities.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to implementation teams.
• Support troubleshooting of complex architectural issues during active operations.

Cloud Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to design, optimize, and enhance cloud-based architectures to support ESS operational requirements.

This position will support one of our Government clients in Arlington, VA.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing cloud architectures, preferably on AWS
• 8+ years of directly relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing solutions for cybersecurity or incident response operations
• Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
• Experience with Splunk
• Experience migrating on-prem legacy systems to a cloud environment
• Experience with Azure and Entra
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST)
• Background in system administration or DevOps
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Clearance Requirement

This position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability.
