Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Systems Engineer III - MBSE to support the Missile Defense Agency Chief Engineer in transforming the agency’s approach to engineering through model-based systems engineering.

You will capture and develop new system models, leverage MBSE tools (SysML, Cameo, Simulink, MATLAB, Visio), and coordinate with internal and external teams to collaborate on models. This role requires teamwork and MBSE domain expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field required.
• 7+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Strong MBSE experience with model-based engineering.
• Ability to excel in a team setting.
• Experience with interface or interoperability engineering domains.

AV is looking for a highly talented Systems Engineer III - MBSE to join our team! In this role, you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Chief Engineer (MDA/CEM) in transforming the way in which the Agency approaches engineering. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and is interested in utilizing those tools to help move the Agency away from document-driven engineering.

• Assist with capturing and developing new system models to become the backbone for how MDA will approach future engineering efforts.
• Leverage your skills with a variety of MBSE tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to collaborate on models.
