Job summary

CA CI International Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer III in Maryland to apply interdisciplinary engineering skills for DoD systems. You will perform planning, integration, verification, and analyses across the lifecycle and coordinate with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders.

Required 7+ years in systems engineering, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and an active Secret clearance. The role offers local travel up to 10% and broad opportunities for technical documentation and system

Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance (required).
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
7+ years of professional experience in systems engineering.
Experience with systems integration, verification and validation, and technical planning.
Experience with requirements analysis, functional decomposition, and interface management.
Strong understanding of lifecycle processes and methodologies.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and review junior staff work.

Responsibilities

Apply systems engineering principles across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal phases.
Perform requirements allocation and interface definition studies to support system design decisions.
Support the development of technical baselines and system architecture documentation.
Conduct trade studies and technical analyses to evaluate alternative design approaches.
Work independently with limited supervision while coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.
May manage projects or processes within assigned areas of responsibility.
Influence others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures.
Support integration and test events including development, operational, and acceptance testing.
Develop technical documentation including system specifications, interface control documents, and engineering artifacts.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and other technical and support personnel.
