Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals, LLC is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain DevOps resources across multiple product teams. You will enable teams to automate build and deployment and take initiative to learn new skills.

The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code, AWS infrastructure (EC2/Lambdas/EKS/RDS/S3/etc.) using Terraform, and Kubernetes with EKS. Strong collaboration with developers and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Develop and manage IaC and automation scripts for tasks and provisioning.
• Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, EKS, RDS, S3, EFS, EBS) using Terraform and autoscaling.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and maintain system uptime.

Responsibilities

• Developing Infrastructure As Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
• Install, configure, and provide performance tuning utilizing Kubernetes and cloud-native logging/metrics (Elasticsearch, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deploy using GitLab runners and Argo CD.
• Manage commercial cloud platforms (AWS).
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
