Lead all aspects of steering system integration including requirements analysis, calibration, and vehicle-level validation. Lead calibration and vehicle-level testing of electric power steering (EPS) systems, ensuring optimal steering performance, functional safety, and regulatory compliance. Determine required adjustments to operating software to achieve ride and handling targets of vehicle established by the customer. Responsible for releasing software calibrations for production including preparing the necessary documents for final software calibration release. Understand and work within the parameters of ASPICE (Automotive Software Performance Improvement and Capability determination) process. Utilize software tools for assigned calibration tuning, including troubleshooting of chassis electrical system faults and flashing of control module (ECU) with updated software and/or calibrations. Develop, tune, and validate steering-related ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) logic in alignment with OEM specifications and automotive standards. Perform vehicle integration and vehicle testing according to requirements management tool (PTC Integrity) test cases. Maintain accurate change logs and evaluation notes during every step of the vehicle tuning process using the correct terminology and uses the task management system. Organize information systematically and separately for each program. Support EPS applications such as GM, Ford Stellantis LB, LP3 project, Hyundai/Kia JK, JX, CV projects.
Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Research Engineer, Design Engineer, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 4 years of experience with design & development of vehicle systems and vehicle testing. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
