Programmers.io is seeking a seasoned EPS System Architect to lead end‑to‑end steering wheel system design and integration within vehicle architectures. The role demands hands‑on EPS actuator experience and architect‑level capabilities across system engineering, chassis electronics, and safety constraints.
You will define system boundaries, manage requirements, and collaborate with VDDV teams to meet crash safety and deployment objectives for next‑generation steering wheels.
Position: EPS (Electric Power Steering) System Architect
Hire Type: Full Time
Client need candidates with hands‑on experience with EPS (Electric Power Steering) actuators who also possess Architect‑level capabilities.
The Steering Wheel Domain Expert is responsible for the end‑to‑end systems architecture, engineering development, and vehicle integration of next‑generation steering wheels. You will oversee the integration of structural rims, switches, hands‑on detection (HOD) sensors, heating arrays, and critical driver airbag (DAB) restraint deployment. This cross‑functional role ensures that steering wheel assemblies align perfectly with vehicle architecture, advanced safety expectations, and electrical communication protocols.
Define system‑level boundaries, block diagrams, and vehicle interface definitions for the complete steering wheel subsystem.
Author, manage, and trace engineering requirements for sub‑components (switches, heaters, sensors, airbags) within tools like IBM DOORS.
Collaborate directly with Virtual Design, Development, and Validation (VDDV) teams to ensure crash safety, impact protection, and optimal driver airbag deployment constraints are met.
