Job summary

RTX / Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Systems Engineer to capture, analyze, and trace system requirements and to develop innovative design approaches that meet customer needs and cost targets. You will support software and systems teams to develop and release displays software products for avionics platforms, collaborating with engineers, managers, and production.

Travel domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience in a systems/software engineering role.
  • Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving requirements.
  • Experience with Python scripting.

  • Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace System requirements
  • Develop innovative design approaches that meet customer requirements, cost targets, and product line objectives.
  • Design requirements, software, and test verification, depending on program need.
  • Support teams of software and systems engineers to develop, integrate and release displays software products.
  • Interact with a cross-functional team of (including, but not limited to) Engineers, Engineering leaders, Program Managers, Finance, Quality, and Production
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international)

What You Will Do:
