Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team in Andover, MA is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer II to plan and execute complex integration and verification test events for cutting-edge missile defense technologies. This onsite position offers hands-on testing in real-world environments.

The role requires a Master’s in STEM, hands-on documentation and debugging experience, and the ability to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in simulated and real-world environments
• Troubleshoot and analyze hardware, software, and system issues through detailed analysis and debugging
• Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues
• Utilize modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation
• Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems in field test and hardware-in-the-loop environments
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality
• Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and communicate results to leadership
• Travel up to 15% to support mission execution at various locations including RTX facilities and test sites
