Job summary

RTX Marlborough, MA seeks a Systems Engineer to support testing, integration, and lifecycle activities across hardware and software components. You will collaborate across disciplines to verify requirements and ensure products work as designed in lab and field environments.

The role requires a Master’s degree in STEM and hands-on troubleshooting with common test equipment, plus willingness to travel up to 20% for test events. Onsite in Marlborough, MA with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in STEM obtained by start date.
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system.
• Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment.
• System integration and test support, possibly including live fire test events.
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB.
• Support qualification of our products.
• Sustainment/Depot returns and repair.
• Maintain engineering specifications (DS, ARD, etc.) & drawings (Schematics & Assembly Drawings).
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
• Maintain engineering databases.
• Participate in periodic team meetings, interface teleconference meetings, working group meetings
