Job summary

Astreya China is seeking a Systems Engineer in the United States to join a team of IT specialists responsible for designing, setting up and maintaining a network of computers, including hardware, software, and system architecture.

The role involves overseeing development and installation of new networking infrastructures, selecting optimal solutions across diverse technologies, monitoring existing systems, and implementing security and data-backup best practices while meeting project deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Builds productive internal and external working relationships
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Experience with computing networks, platforms, and software architectures
• Knowledge and understanding of the definition and traceability of system requirements
• Experience in the implementation of system requirements verification methods
• Experience in the planning of system test activities
• Strong presentation and organizational skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks
• Able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints

Responsibilities

• Participate in overseeing the development and installation of new networking and computing infrastructures.
• Participate in selecting the best possible solutions using knowledge of a wide range of available technologies.
• Monitor systems in the existing network to ensure there are no productivity setbacks.
• Engage in installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
• Implementing best practices for system security and data backups.
• Able to anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks and identify possible solutions.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise.
• Communicate effectively with IT support staff to ensure the setup process runs smoothly.
• Liaise with vendors and keep relevant stakeholders up to date with developments.

• Works on problems of moderate scope
• Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
