Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Systems Engineer to support Naval Radar programs at our Woburn, MA facility. You will work across hardware, software, and networking domains, troubleshooting and testing to ensure system performance.

You’ll collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines, develop integration plans, and document results for leadership and customers. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required for mission support.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with <2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or other programming languages.

The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team discipline is seeking a Systems Engineer to support important Naval Radar programs. Every day presents a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and testing. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and collaborate to implement solutions.

What You Will Do

In this Systems Engineer role, you will support the following types of activities:

• Support Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
• Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
• Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
• Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
• Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
• Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
• This role is onsite at our RTX facility in Woburn, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or other programming languages.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
• Experience with RADAR or RF systems
• Experience with military systems
• Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
• Experience with systems hardware, systems integration, and/or systems test.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
