Job summary

RTX invites driven students and early professionals to join a team working on flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft. You will design, develop, and test software features, collaborating with systems and software engineers to deliver quality products to customers.

Applicants should possess a STEM degree by start date and experience with C/C++/Python/ADA. Domestic and international travel is possible, with relocation assistance offered where applicable.

What You Will Do

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes
• Integrate soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment that provides quality and timely products to internal and external customers.
• Travel (domestic and international <10%) as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major to be obtained by start date
• Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.

• Ability to draft System and/or Software Requirements
• Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification)

• Relocation Eligibility

• The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
