Job summary

The Boeing Company in Oklahoma City is seeking a Systems Engineer - Hydraulics and Fuels (Experienced or Lead) to join the SEIT team. You will act as SME for hydraulics and fuels, lead SE efforts, and ensure technical quality across the lifecycle of this defense program.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct trade studies, develop requirements, and coordinate hardware/software integration and testing across labs in OKC and other sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent
  • 5+ years related work experience in hydraulics/fuels systems
  • Experience in aerospace/defense is preferred
  • Experience in systems engineering processes and lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Operate as SMEs on Hydraulics and Fuels subsystems.
  • Lead systems engineering efforts for SEIT IPT and ensure quality standards.

Systems Engineer - Hydraulics and Fuels (Experienced or Lead) Company:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) is seeking a Systems Engineer - Hydraulics and Fuels (Experienced or Lead) to join the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team. The selected candidate will drive engineering excellence on this complex development program in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate as the team’s Subject Matter Expert on Hydraulics and Fuels Subsystems.

  • Lead systems and multifunctional engineering efforts for the SEIT IPT, ensuring adherence to technical quality standards throughout the product lifecycle

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to define and implement systems engineering processes and best practices

  • Conduct trade studies and risk assessments to inform design decisions and optimize system performance, cost, and schedule

  • Develop and maintain system requirements, interface control documents, and verification and validation plans to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards

  • Oversee the integration of hardware and software components in System Integration Labs in Oklahoma City

  • Oversee the verification and test of hardware and software components supporting the modification in San Antonio and ultimately ground and flight test at Edwards Air Force Base.

  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

  • Prepare and present technical documentation and reports to stakeholders, including program management and engineering leadership

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in hydraulic power or fuel systems

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Experience in the integration and verification phase of programs in the aerospace and defense industry.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Experience verifying and validating complex systems.

  • Experience in labs activities such as Hardware, Software Integration Test

  • Experience in ground and flight test activities, including data analysis

  • Experience leading teams to produce quality deliverables on schedule

  • Experience acting in a Technical Lead Engineer capacity.

  • Experience using DOORS requirement management software.

Experienced: $104,550 - $141,450

Lead: $127,500– $172,500
