Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Oklahoma City is seeking an Experienced Mission Systems Integration Engineer (Systems Engineer) (Level 3) to support the B-52J Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP).

The role provides mission systems engineering integration leadership across the Avionics Subsystem, coordinating between hardware, software, labs and other teams to ensure lab integration tests pass and are documented in test reports. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • 1+ years of airworthiness certification experience.
  • 1+ years of requirements verification experience.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security

has a great opportunity for an Experienced Mission Systems Integration Engineer (Systems Engineer) (Level 3) to support the B-52J Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position will provide Mission Systems Engineering integration leadership and coordination for the CERP Avionics Subsystem in the development of plans, procedures, and subsystem level testing. The position will coordinate between the Avionics Hardware, Operational Load Set software, Labs, and other teams as needed to ensure the Avionics subsystem successfully executes lab integration tests with results documented in test reports. The preferred candidate will have experience as an equipment manager, in requirements verification, use of DOORS, airworthiness certification, lab instrumentation expertise, supporting lab I&CO and verification testing.

If you have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Oklahoma and are not currently working in the aerospace sector in Oklahoma, you may qualify for a $5000 tax credit from the state of Oklahoma for up to five years.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience
  • 1 or more years of airworthiness certification experience
  • 1 or more years of requirements verification experience
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3 or more years of experience in engineering project planning or project management
  • 2 or more years of experience leading a team or a project
  • Experience in all stages of development including generating technical documentation, system design and development, integration of systems development, structured analysis and design methodologies, integration and test/verification
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
