Job summary

DCS Corp in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, seeks a systems engineer with Army acquisition experience to support development of a C5ISR product.

The role covers managing the systems engineering model, leading reviews, and coordinating with stakeholders to advance program milestones. Strong DoD clearance and 5+ years of SE experience are required; DAU certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship and a DoD secret level clearance or higher is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering for DOD systems.
  • Expertise in applying IEEE standard 1220 to development process.
  • Expertise in MS Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the systems engineering model and prepare for engineering review boards.
  • Lead TIR scoring reviews and validate ECPs.
  • Conduct configuration management and review software patches.
  • Create, modify, and review engineering and acquisition documentation to meet milestones.
  • Attend product, platform, vendor and client meetings and reviews; assess vendor progress.
  • Interface with external stakeholder organization for the system-of-systems approach.
  • Update program documentation and briefings with technical information and strategies.
  • Provide overall management of engineering tasks and refine future enhancements for ALTNAV program.

Job description

DCS is looking for a systems engineer experienced in Army acquisition to support development of a C5ISR product at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage the systems engineering model, prepare for engineering review boards, lead TIR scoring reviews, review and validate ECPs, conduct configuration management, review software patches, conduct failure securing review.

Create, modify, and review engineering and acquisition documentation to meet program milestones and system requirements.

Attend product, platform, vendor and client meetings and reviews. Provide assessment of vendor progress and input to assistant product manager on solutions to technical problems within the program.

Interface with external stakeholder organization that contributes to the product’s system of systems approach.

Update program documentation and briefings to incorporate technical information and strategies.

Provide overall management of engineering tasks and refine future enhancements for the diverse technical aspects of the ALTNAV program.

Provide technical inputs to overall program cost estimates.

Collaborate with stakeholders to create SOPs for system health monitoring, failures, and mitigation plans

Required Skills:

US citizenship and a DoD secret level clearance or higher is required.

At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering for DOD systems performing the tasks mentioned above.

Expertise in applying IEEE standard 1220 to development process.

Expertise in MS office products.

Desired skills:

DAU certifications in systems engineering or related fields.

Pay Range and Benefits:

There are a variety of factors that can influence salary at DCS Corp, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

Salary Range: $90,220 - $185,000
