The position requires evaluating complex problems to provide data for O6 decision points, developing SEPs and DoDAF products, and supporting PM products with progress reviews and technical guidance.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in related engineering or science discipline.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Must have 8 years' experience in DoD acquisition and have supported an ACAT level program.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems engineering processes and documents (SEPs, CM plans, risk management plans, IMS).
  • Providing systems engineering support for PM products and documentation including risk identification and management, requirements analysis, design, modeling and simulation, integration, test, and evaluation.
  • Attending program reviews and meetings; providing recommendations for system engineering improvements.
  • Managing documentation to integrate PM products with client systems on Army platforms and supporting proposal evaluation.

Job description

DCS is looking for a senior systems engineer with DoD acquisition experience to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.

Essential Job Functions:

supporting Director of Systems Engineering initiatives such as establishing and updating standards and interfaces, supporting knowledge management definition and implementation, and establishing digital engineering policy.

Additionally, the position will require leading and supporting evaluations of complex problems to provide data for O6 decision points.

Duties necessitate significant critical thinking, the initiative to seek out information from other subject matter experts, and the independence to manage tasks toward overarching intent while keeping awareness of whenleadership’s input is necessary to determine the next steps of a project.

Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems engineering processes and documents (i.e., systems engineering plans (SEPs), configuration management plans, risk management plans, and integrated master plans) to support the PM PNT products.

Attending program reviews including pre- and post-review events, IPT and working group meetings; and providing recommendations for system engineering, testing, and other improvements.

Providing systems engineering support for PM products and documentation including: risk identification and management; system configuration management; concept development; requirements analysis, development, derivation, and documentation; systems design and architecture; modeling and simulation; integration, test, and evaluation; hardware and software validation; host platform integration support; and field demonstrations.

Providing systems engineering activities to manage, implement, conduct, review, and update documentation to integrate classified and unclassified PM products with client systems on Army platforms.

Developing, reviewing, and updating systems engineering processes and documents, such as the: SEP, configuration management plans, risk management plans, Department of Defense architecture framework (DoDAF) products, and assist in the development of integrated master plans and deliver them according to PM product IMS.

Providing input into the development of SOOs, SOWs, PWSs, performance specifications, associated solicitation documentation, and provide technical advice and assistance regarding proposal evaluation.

Reviewing data artifacts for acceptability and ensure the product-data relationships are maintained and establishing and maintaining database(s).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in related engineering or science discipline.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Must have 8 years' experience in DoD acquisition and have supported an ACAT level program.

Desired Skills:

DAU certification in Systems Engineering

Pay Range and Benefits: There are a variety of factors that can influence salary at DCS Corp, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

Salary Range: $90,220 - $210,000
