Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Systems Engineer for a Hybrid role in Warrenton, VA, focused on a US Navy digital ground station. You will oversee the full Systems Engineering V lifecycle, shaping architecture, requirements, and interfaces for high-reliability systems.

The role involves collaboration with software, network, and DSP teams, MBSE through SysML, and leading system integration efforts. A TS/SCI-eligible clearance is preferred and the position offers growth into leadership on a defense program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years across the Systems Engineering V lifecycle.
• Experience designing architectures with CONOPS, CDR, PDR, trade studies, traceability, ICDs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex system architectures meeting requirements.
• Translate system requirements into technical specs for hardware, software, and networks.
• Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of multi-component systems.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including procedures, test plans, and configurations.
• Support MBSE processes and SysML-based documentation.
