Overview

This is a remote role open for multiple markets across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Consultation: Provides consultative direction and technical advice related to the bank's operating systems, software, and hardware infrastructure. Supports all areas of Technology and Operations. Leads strategic designs, initiatives, and contributes to the analysis of new and existing bank technologies.
• Understand software internals, debug problems, and automate repetitive tasks with scripting tools and user-level automation tools.
• Adhere to SVB Enterprise Software Delivery Methodology.
• Streamline testing processes by introducing automation, leveraging tools, and setting goals to reduce time and effort.
• Lead, develop, monitor, and execute test activities for projects.
• Technical Support: Leads new technologies spanning applications, operating systems, and database management systems. Coordinates network communication and application and data integration methods. Performs planning and documentation throughout support activities. Leads processes related to strategic designs, backups, recovery, data security, and disaster recovery. Resolves complex technical problems and automates tasks for efficiency.
• Project Management: Leads technical projects ensuring timely and quality delivery. Guides project tasks.
• Technical Expertise: Maintains a strong knowledge base to create strategic technology plans and advise others. Communicates technical information effectively.
• Reviews project or application requirements, conducts ambiguity reviews, prepares test strategies, plans, cases, logs defects, and produces status reports.
• Works with offshore vendor teams to support and execute tests across time zones.
• Utilizes JIRA for defect tracking; reports issues promptly; conducts defect triage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering including programming, scripting, troubleshooting OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current contractor/contingent worker for First Citizens Bank.
• Knowledge of First Citizens Bank systems and processes.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, scripting, Selenium, Jenkins.
• Experience with QA strategies, test planning, and execution.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies (TDD, BDD).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
