Job summary

RTX invites promising students for an internship/co-op in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will collaborate with Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features used in helicopters and aircraft, while growing knowledge of aerospace software solutions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing STEM degrees and have experience in C/C++, ADA, or Python. The role may involve up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM bachelor’s or advanced degree and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op term.
• Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.
• Pilot/Avionics experience (Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of Systems and Software engineers to deliver quality, timely products.

What You Will Do:

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for software solutions that are integrated into helicopters and planes
• Integratesoftskills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into adynamicenvironment that provides quality andtimelyproducts to internal and external customers.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
