Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our private cloud infrastructure and advancing our DevSecOps initiatives. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain operational components in private on‑prem clouds such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V
• Analyze processes to create and enhance operational workflows
• Work closely with operational teams to build and improve cloud infrastructure
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and trending operational tools in the cloud
• Respond to alerts; troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Proactively recognize and handle uptime and performance challenges
• Automate using infrastructure as a code
• Automate self‑provisioning of resources and services for a Private Cloud Environment
• Configure and deploy containerized micro‑service components
• Troubleshoot the system and provide root cause analysis
• Provide rotational 24/7 on‑call technical support

Requirements

• 2+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows or Linux environments
• Experience working in private on‑prem cloud environments running VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper‑V
• Ability to create, edit, and maintain scripting code from Bash, PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript for infrastructure configuration and building
• Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible
• Understanding of build/automation systems such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and Packer
• Ability to automate workflows via scripting for self‑service
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field

Recommended Qualifications

• Work experience with containers (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Ability to share your expertise through documentation
• Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow
• Experience with private cloud platforms such as VMware VCF Automation or Morpheus
