Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Digital Engineer to join a high-performing Digital Engineering team supporting the USSF OPIR mission area. Location is either Dayton, OH or Boulder, CO, with duties spanning modeling, requirements analysis, and roadmap development.

Ideal candidates have MBSE expertise using SysML, familiarity with IEEE 15288, and 0-2 years of related experience. Target salary range is $60,001–$100,000 with a DoD clearance potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0-2 years of related experience.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with MBSE using SysML 1.x in academic or professional work.
• Familiarity with IEEE 15288 systems engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital models of operational concepts for MOSA architecture hosting high-performance data-processing applications.
• Model and analyze system requirements addressing stakeholder needs.

SAIC is seeking a systems-minded Digital Engineer who want to make a meaningful impact on national security as members of a high-performing Digital Engineering team supporting the U.S. Space Force’s Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission area evolutionary ground segment. This engineering role can support various team members as we shape system concepts, model operational needs, inform requirements, and support both a prime contractor and USSF partners in developing next-generation OPIR capabilities. Location is either in Dayton, Ohio or Boulder, Colorado

Job Duties:

• Develop digital models of operational concepts and stakeholders need for a modular open systems approach (MOSA) architecture hosting high-performance data-processing applications.

• Model and support the analysis of system requirements that address identified stakeholder needs.

• Deliver digital modeling artifacts that support development teams in releasing integrated hardware and software solutions.

• Develop digital modeling artifacts to document system architecture, requirements, verification status, and development roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0-2 years of related experience

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

• Demonstrated experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) using SysML 1.x through academic or professional work.

• Familiarity with IEEE 15288 systems engineering processes.

Desired:

• Two or more years of Cameo experience.

• Prior experience in software engineering, high-performance computing, or remote-sensing data processing.

• Experience developing scripts, integration tools, or domain-specific languages (DSLs) for modeling.

• Experience with DoDAF, UAF, or SysML 2.

Target salary range: $60,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
