Real Time Consulting is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform system verification for aircraft surveillance systems, including TCAS, TAWS, ADS-B and transponder suites, in accordance with ARP4754A and DO-178B processes. The role focuses on safety-critical embedded avionics development and requires strong test procedure and scripting capabilities.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure traceability with DOORS, and contribute to a rigorous verification

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years system development of safety critical embedded avionics systems.
  • Experience developing system test procedures, system test cases and system test scripts.
  • Familiar with the ARP-4754A aircraft systems lifecycle.
  • Familiar with DOORS for requirements capture and tracing.
  • Familiar with ClearCase version control and configuration management system.
  • Familiar with ClearQuest for creating and tracking change requests.
  • Familiar with MATLAB/Simulink for performing simulations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Accountable and takes ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done.

JOB TITLE: System Engineer - Aircraft Surveillance Systems
ABOUT THE JOB:

This position is responsible for system verification activities for aircraft surveillance systems in accordance with ARP4754A systems development cycle and DO-178B software development cycle. These new and legacy aircraft surveillance systems include TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System), TAWS (Terrain Avoidance Warning System), ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast) and transponder systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years system development of safety critical embedded avionics systems
  • Experience developing system test procedures, system test cases and system test scripts
  • Familiar with the ARP-4754A aircraft systems lifecycle
  • Familiar with DOORS for requirements capture and tracing
  • Familiar with ClearCase version control and configuration management system
  • Familiar with ClearQuest for creating and tracking change requests
  • Familiar with MATLAB/Simulink for performing simulations

  • Experience with system testing in a VALFAC (validation facility) environment
