The Emerging Technology and Incubation (ETI) team invents, launches, and brings to market technologies that help reach Cloudflare’s mission. ETI ships software that changes the Internet. Our launches include the world’s fastest DNS resolver, 1.1.1.1, Cloudflare WARP, Cloudflare One, Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and Workers AI.
The ETI group consists of engineers, product managers, developer advocates and researchers who share a passion for building a better Internet. We move quickly, solve problems boldly, and shape products based on customer feedback while leveraging Cloudflare’s global network.
ETI also drives Innovation Weeks at Cloudflare and contributes new products, features, and visions to help build a better Internet. ETI releases align with Cloudflare’s broader mission and enable customers to realize the value of combining features together.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team. You will work with a team of engineers building innovative products that bring security and speed to millions of Internet users each day. You will help shape product features based on what’s technically possible and ensure the company hits ambitious engineering goals.
You bring a passion for meeting business needs while building technically innovative solutions, and you excel at shifting between the big-picture goals and technical details. You thrive in a fast-paced, iterative engineering environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to shape product features and drive delivery.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, reliable systems that operate in production.
• Help ensure engineering goals are met and that software operates effectively in production environments.

Athenian Project: In 2017 we created the Athenian Project to protect state and local governments’ election information and voter registration; we have provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.
1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to provide a faster, more secure, privacy-centric DNS resolver. It is publicly available and we do not store client IP addresses. We are committed to privacy and do not sell data to advertisers or use it for targeting.
