Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to support daily responsibilities and contribute to mission-focused hardware integration. You will develop designs for installation into chassis, racks, and shelters, and coordinate documentation to meet contract and company requirements.

Responsibilities include evaluating vendors, preparing specifications, creating Ansible scripts, and verifying hardware with test reports.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who will assist with daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters
• Plan, direct, review, and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met
• Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports
• Prepare functional requirements and specification for hardware acquisitions
• Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components that satisfies user's requirements
• Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines
• Conduct site surveys, assessing and documenting current site network configuration and site-unique requirements

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.

Required Skills:

• Automated testing experience
• Scripting experience or at least the ability to walk through scripts for troubleshooting purposes
• Collection system knowledge/experience
• Tiered mission support experience
• Experience creating Ansible scripts
• Experience with containers

Desired Skills:

• FORNSAT knowledge, experience within the collection environment
• NiFi knowledge and experience in operational support and administrative tasks
• Experience with Kubernetes

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
