Job summary

Itezz Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business delivering IT solutions to federal agencies in Maryland. We seek a senior Systems Engineer to support lifecycle activities, requirements management, and architecture compliance with DoDAF/SOA guidelines.

Candidates must hold TS/SCI with poly and possess extensive systems engineering experience across lifecycle phases, with a focus on production systems and verification. Compensation reflects seniority and government contracting norms.

• TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Poly.
• A High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen years of general systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline with ten years of systems engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline with eight years of systems engineering experience.
• PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline with eight years of systems engineering experience.
• An experienced scheduler with strong MS Project skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and requirements specifications.
• Manages system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with architecture (DoDAF, SOA).
• Assists with allocation of requirements to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Coordinates resolution of actions from CCB, design reviews, program reviews and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination.
• Performs analysis of technical alternatives and provides preliminary recommendations.
• Supports ISO/IEC 15288 process areas and related project activities.
• Develops and delivers work products in ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.
• Analyzes and proposes engineering standards and processes for projects.
• Supervises or coordinates work of other engineers or technicians.

Description:
Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:

• Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
• Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
• Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
• Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities:

• Contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents
• Manages system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture
• Assists with the allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
• Coordinates the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
• Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
• Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288
• Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
• Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design.
• Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue
• Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.
• Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.
• Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.

Salary Range: $200,000.00 - $210,000.00 (Annually)
Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; annual hours worked; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
