Job summary

Itezz Inc. is seeking a senior systems engineer to contribute across the full systems engineering lifecycle, interfacing with government stakeholders and senior executives.

Expect responsibility for technical integrity, quality, and delivery across multiple ISO/IEC 15288 process areas. The role requires TS/SCI with appropriate polygraph and a strong background in DoDAF-aligned architecture, requirements analysis, and verification.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Poly or equivalent security clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.
• PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manages system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – DoDAF, Service-oriented Architecture.
• Assists with allocation of requirements to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Coordinates resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination.
• Performs analysis of technical alternatives for a project and makes preliminary recommendations.
• Assists in performing systems engineering activities in ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
• Performs systems engineering activities and assists in preparation of multiple work products in ISO/IEC 15288 Project and Technical Process Areas.
• Develops and delivers a work product in any ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
• Independently analyzes and recommends alternatives for elements of a project’s technical design.

Description:

Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:

• Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
• Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
• Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
• Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

• Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design.
• Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue
• Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.
• Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.
• Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.

Required Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Poly

Salary Range:

$200,000.00 - $210,000.00 (Annually) Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; annual hours worked; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
