Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Design:
- Author, review, and maintain repeatable, comprehensive System Architecture and system design documentation for IT environments
Requirements Engineering:
- Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level architectures/visions to derive formal, testable system requirements
Hybrid Environment Engineering:
- Architect and optimize complex infrastructures operating both on-premises (bare-metal/virtualized) and off-premises
Feasibility & Trade Studies:
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative technical approaches, and conduct rigorous technical feasibility studies
- Integration Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for the seamless integration of requirements, system design, and emerging technologies
Verification & Validation Oversight:
- Guide system development and implementation planning by authoring and executing system integration and test plans
Government & Executive Liaison:
- Interface directly with senior executives regarding complex Engineering considerations, technical roadblocks, or architectural conflicts
Cross-Functional Communication:
- Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams to align architectural vision with execution schedules
High-Level Documentation:
- Facilitate technical alignment by authoring, updating, and defending technical documentation in technical exchange meetings (TEMs)
Required
- Active and current TS.SCI w FSP
- 14 YOE
- Hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and IT Architecture
- Proven track record of designing and managing technical architectures for both on-premises enterprise data centers and cloud environments
- Demonstrated expert-level experience engineering complex Network infrastructure and End-User computing solutions at scale
- Mastery in authoring formal Systems Engineering artifacts, including CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, and Test Plans
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with explicit experience briefing senior executives on complex problems and architectural trade-offs
Desired:
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)
- AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), CCNP, or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accreditedcollege or university is required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
