Job summary

Lentech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead architecture and requirements for high‑assurance environments. You will guide engineering teams, craft formal SE artifacts, and ensure alignment with government expectations across on‑premises and cloud infrastructures.

You will interact with senior executives, manage technical risk, and drive integration of requirements, design, and technology into operations with deep technical leadership.

Qualifications

  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP clearance is required.
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in systems engineering and IT architecture.
  • Experience designing architectures for on‑premises data centers and cloud environments.
  • Proven ability briefing senior executives on complex trade‑offs.
  • Mastery in formal SE artifacts (CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, Test Plans).

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Architecture Design: author and maintain system architecture documentation.
  • Requirements Engineering: derive formal, testable system requirements from CONOPS and visions.
  • Hybrid Environment Engineering: architect complex infrastructures across on‑premises and cloud.
  • Feasibility & Trade Studies: conduct rigorous technical feasibility studies and trade assessments.
  • Verification & Validation Oversight: plan and execute system integration and test plans.
  • Government & Executive Liaison: interface with senior executives on engineering considerations.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: align architectural vision with execution schedules.
  • High‑Level Documentation: defend technical documentation in TEMs and stakeholder reviews.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture Design:
  • Author, review, and maintain repeatable, comprehensive System Architecture and system design documentation for IT environments
Requirements Engineering:
  • Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level architectures/visions to derive formal, testable system requirements
Hybrid Environment Engineering:
  • Architect and optimize complex infrastructures operating both on-premises (bare-metal/virtualized) and off-premises
Feasibility & Trade Studies:
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative technical approaches, and conduct rigorous technical feasibility studies
  • Integration Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for the seamless integration of requirements, system design, and emerging technologies
Verification & Validation Oversight:
  • Guide system development and implementation planning by authoring and executing system integration and test plans
Government & Executive Liaison:
  • Interface directly with senior executives regarding complex Engineering considerations, technical roadblocks, or architectural conflicts
Cross-Functional Communication:
  • Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams to align architectural vision with execution schedules
High-Level Documentation:
  • Facilitate technical alignment by authoring, updating, and defending technical documentation in technical exchange meetings (TEMs)
Required
  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP
  • 14 YOE
  • Hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and IT Architecture
  • Proven track record of designing and managing technical architectures for both on-premises enterprise data centers and cloud environments
  • Demonstrated expert-level experience engineering complex Network infrastructure and End-User computing solutions at scale
  • Mastery in authoring formal Systems Engineering artifacts, including CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, and Test Plans
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with explicit experience briefing senior executives on complex problems and architectural trade-offs
Desired:
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)
  • AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect Professional
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), CCNP, or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accreditedcollege or university is required
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Salary range:

$185,377.00 $197,975.00
