Job summary

Invictus International in Alexandria, VA seeks a Systems Engineer III to lead analysis of requirements, CONOPS, and architectures to drive design and implementation across the lifecycle.

The role provides technical leadership through the SE lifecycle, develops architecture docs, guides requirements, and supports system integration and DevOps with Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI. Requires TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; an additional 4 years may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum six (6) years of directly related experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT II and Microsoft Certified Professional (or equivalent).
• Current TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of user requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures to develop requirements and drive system design, development, integration, and implementation.
• Provide technical leadership across the full SE lifecycle: architecture, design, integration, testing, and transitions.
• Develop and maintain system architecture, engineering documentation, and plans (SEMPs, test plans, SOPs, security docs, diagrams).
• Guide requirements development, feasibility studies, and trade-off analyses to optimize performance across the lifecycle.
• Direct and support system integration, interface definition, end-to-end analysis, issue resolution, and vendor coordination.
• Develop and support modern infrastructure solutions: Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), server deployment, domain management, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm.
• Design and implement automation and DevOps: IaC (Terraform), Configuration as Code (Ansible), CI/CD with GitLab CI, secret management.
• Develop scripting solutions (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate operations.
• Ensure secure system design and compliance alignment, including access control and secure communications.
• Communicate with government stakeholders, program teams, and executives, providing guidance and status.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and drive their evaluation and integration into enterprise environments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in technical discipline; an additional 4 years of may be substituted in lieu of a degree


• Minimum six (6) years of directly related experience
