Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer 2 to support the analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation of complex systems across requirements, CONOPS, system architecture, hardware and software integration.

The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership while coordinating with Government stakeholders, program personnel, and partner organizations to maintain system integrity and deliver effective engineering solutions

Qualifications

• 14+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management; Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements and specifications.
• Lead system design and development activities and guide users in defining requirements and evaluating alternative approaches.
• Develop system architecture, design documentation, Systems Engineering Management Plans, and system integration and test plans.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology across hardware and software systems.
• Support system requirements management, derived requirements, functional requirements, allocation, and traceability.
• Participate in system integration, testing, verification, validation, acceptance, and deployment activities.
• Run, maintain, and monitor systems while providing Tier 1 system support.
• Collaborate with partner organizations on system design, integration, testing, acceptance, and deployment.
• Support configuration and change management activities, including Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews.
• Develop and maintain Systems Engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Define and manage system interfaces and maintain interface design information.
• Assess technical risks, system performance, and verification approaches throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support planning and analysis associated with DoD Certification/Accreditation and Government C&A processes
• Communicate technical considerations, issues, and conflicts with Government stakeholders and program leadership.

Job description

CTP is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer 2 to support the analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation of complex systems. This role works across user requirements, CONOPS, system architecture, hardware and software integration, technical documentation, and system lifecycle activities.

The ideal candidate brings extensive Systems Engineering experience with requirements development, architecture and design, integration, and technical problem resolution. You'll provide technical leadership while working closely with Government stakeholders, program personnel, and partner organizations to maintain system integrity and deliver effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements and specifications.
• Lead system design and development activities and guide users in defining requirements and evaluating alternative approaches.

Qualifications:

• 14+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills:

• Experience managing system, functional, and derived requirements, including allocation and traceability.
• Knowledge of DoDAF and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience with system architecture, interface definition, integration, verification, and validation.
• Experience supporting configuration management, CCBs, design reviews, risk management, and technical baselines.
• Familiarity with Information Assurance, JCIDS documentation, and DoD Certification/Accreditation processes.
• Experience developing Systems Engineering documentation such as SEPs, ICDs, requirements specifications, and test plans.
• Linux experience is desired but not required; on-the-job Linux learning is expected.
