Job summary

DENSO is seeking a Production Control/Logistics analyst in Maryville, TN, within the North America Production Control Engineering (NAPCE) department. The role focuses on process improvement, training, inventory optimization, and system troubleshooting to support customer orders, shipping, and supplier orders.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations analysis, creating training materials, maintaining documentation, and leading inventory reduction efforts to align with demand and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or Supply Chain Management is required.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Preferred experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain management, customer ordering/shipping, inventory management, warehouse management and risk management.

Job description

As part of DENSO’s North America Production Control Engineering (NAPCE) department. NAPCE serves DENSO’s North America Group Companies in support of Production Control & Logistics operations and systems.

Position Responsibilities:

Process Improvement & Training

• Oversee operations analysis to identify areas where the user and/or system can be improved. Identify best practices for standard jobs in North America with a focus to strengthen weak areas.
• Identify training opportunities and system improvements required to share the best practice across DENSO North American plants.
• Create and maintain user documentation (e.g. user manuals, training documents, etc.) for North America Production Control and Logistics operations and systems.
• Conduct user training to improve user knowledge and maximize the users’ ability to effectively use the systems and processes.

Inventory Optimization

Lead inventory reduction activities by monitoring inventory performance against targets, identifying excess inventory and root causes, driving process improvements to improve attainment and flow, coordinating cross-functional countermeasures, and ensuring inventory levels are aligned with customer demand, production stability, and company inventory objectives through regular review and continuous improvement activities.

Problem Solving

• Oversee Helpdesk type support for system issues related to user understanding. Work closely with North America Information Systems and users to troubleshoot critical system issues (e.g. customer orders & shipping, supplier orders, etc).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or Supply Chain Management
• 0-3 years of related experience
• Preferred experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain management, customer ordering/shipping, inventory management, warehouse management and supply chain risk management.
