Job summary

Hidden Level is seeking a Systems Engineer in Syracuse, NY, with hybrid work options. You will lead internal product development and customer integration across the sensor lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.

You will collaborate in a small team to evolve cutting-edge RF sensing technology, design algorithms for radar and surveillance systems, and drive verification, validation, and performance analysis. Strong communication and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Working knowledge of DSP, MATLAB or Python, and probabilistic/statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication and self-directed work style.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evolving and developing new cutting-edge sensor technology in a small, dedicated team.
• Design and develop algorithms and analysis methods for radar, direction finding, or other surveillance sensor systems.
• Organize and participate in design and code reviews.
• Verify and validate hardware and software platforms and participate in live test events.
• Develop methods and tools to analyze radar and surveillance sensor system performance.
• Author test reports and draw data-driven conclusions and recommendations based on test results.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evolution and development of new cutting‑edge sensor technology:
  • Work in a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problemsand delivering results
  • Design and develop algorithms and analysis methods and tools for radar,direction finding, or other surveillance sensor systems
  • Organize and participate in design and code reviews
• Play an active role in the verification and validation of hardware and software platforms:
  • Weigh in on the planning and design of live test events both internal and external
  • Provide hands‑on support for the test of surveillance sensor systems
  • Develop methods and tools to analyze and evaluate radar and surveillancesensor system performance
  • Author test reports and draw data‑driven conclusions and recommendationsbased on test results

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relatedtechnical field
• A working knowledge of:
  • Digital signal processing
  • Analytical programming platforms such as MATLAB or Python
  • Probabilistic and statistical analysis techniques
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal oversight
• Ability to travel 10%

Compensation and Benefits:

Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is estimated at $85,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
