Job summary

Extreme Networks seeks a Solutions Engineer to deliver technology and product consulting across customer accounts. You will support technical sales, prepare in-depth presentations, and contribute to RFI/RFP responses while organizing PoC activities and shaping solution design.

The role emphasizes collaboration with virtual teams, partner engagements, and leadership in complex customer projects, with a focus on networking technologies and future trends.

Qualifications

• Excellent presentation skills and pre-sales track record are essential.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, VPNs, and security principles.
• Experience with cloud-based network management, SD-WAN, and automation APIs is a plus.

Job description

Extreme Solutions Engineer provides technology and product consulting, technical sales support for various account opportunities, performs high-level and in-depth technical presentations for customers, prospects, and Extreme channel partners in the territory of responsibility. Extreme Solutions Engineer also provides support for RFI/RFP responses, organizes and leads Proof of Concept activities, designs solutions meeting customer requirements. The SE is also required to participate as a specialist on assigned virtual teams and contribute to other team activities.

• + Layer 2/3 switching + IPv4/v6 routing concepts + Overlay networking, VPNs + Wi-Fi operation and design + Network security principles + Knowledge and practical experience in these areas are an advantage:
• o Cloud technologies and Cloud-based network management platforms

• o When growing the business the willingness to assume a team-lead role for the account team when/if business requires additional resources.

• o Major account experience and experience in closing deals is necessary.
• o Extreme Networks certifications are desirable, but not mandatory
• o Recognized industry certifications is a plus
• o Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of future trends and market directions
• o Ability to support customer evaluations, demonstrations and detailed design requirements
• Good general hands-on lab experience is required

• OTE is on a 70/30 split and based on qualifications and experience with a range between 60-65K
