Job summary

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a fast-paced team supporting counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) missions for warfighters. You will develop requirements with stakeholders and deliver new capabilities while growing into a key engineering role within a product family.

You will work with engineers to field SIGINT collection systems for the DoD, manage system configurations, and contribute to delivering CDRLs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of related experience; or 5 extra years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS clearance and ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Support DoD programs across Navy/Air Force with requirements development and test planning.
  • Ensure technical accuracy on software projects, track deliverables and perform tests.
  • Improve software baselines via agile processes and documentation.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain OS and apps for DoD customers.

What You'll get to Do:

Be part of a fast-paced counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) mission that makes a difference to the warfighter on a daily basis. You will be responsible for working with stakeholders to develop requirements and deliver new capabilities while learning the mission and growing into a key engineering role. You will get to be part of a team of fun and energized engineers and culture of sharing information amongst teammates working within a product family to field tactical SIGINT collection systems to the DoD.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support various projects across US Navy and Air Force team.
  • Work with highly motivated technical teammates that will support and push you and will expect reciprocal action on your part.
  • Responsible for the technical accuracy on software projects for specific customer programs, tracking delivery schedules, CDRL delivery, and performing factory acceptance testing of new hardware and software.
  • Pushing the software baseline forward by continuing process improvement and using agile software development process.
  • Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools in support of DoD customer.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of related experience is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Current TS clearance and able to obtain SCI
  • Must have experience with all stages of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC): Concept of Operations (CONOPS), requirements development, design, verification and validation testing, quality assurance, system integration, and operations support; including the development of requirements directly with stakeholders, as well as the development and execution of test plans/procedures.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, testing, and verifying information and operational support systems for DoD customer from inception to support and operations and the ability to present technical information to numerous stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to generate CDRLs for customer delivery.
  • Experience with managing and documenting system configurations.
  • Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, multimeter etc.)
  • Must know the basic commands and navigation of the Linux operating system.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
  • Ability to configure a variety of hardware components.
  • Experience in coordination and installation of systems to customer locations.
  • Experience with C-UAS and/or RF software and hardware systems.
  • Experience with DSP software and hardware.
  • Understanding of SDR (Software Defined Radio) systems.
  • Experience with computer networking infrastructure products such as servers, switches, firewalls, and routers.
  • Experience developing UML/SysML models with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as a Cameo Systems Modeler Experience
  • Experience with agile development programs and supporting applications (e.g., JIRA, Mingle).
  • Experience with return merchandise authorization (RMA) process, defining help desk decision trees, and submitting purchase orders.
  • Experience with NIST RMF-800-53.
  • Experience with test automation
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Experience with SATCOM systems.
Desired Certifications:
  • Security+ or CISSP Certification
