Job summary

GeoAcuity is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a major Esri-based enterprise GIS deployment. You will deploy ArcGIS across diverse environments, troubleshoot complex deployments, and optimize performance while aligning technical objectives with customer business goals.

This is an on-site role requiring US citizenship and TS clearance eligibility. The position entails migration planning, security-focused engineering, and collaboration with customers and partners to deliver mission-ready GIS

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online).
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#).
• Familiarity with network concepts (domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing).
• Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS across environments to meet SLAs.
• Plan and execute content migration between ArcGIS deployments with different architectures.
• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments; advise on storage, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to design and certify GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align customer objectives with Esri technology.

Position Summary: GeoAcuity is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a major Esri-based enterprise GIS deployment. In this role, you will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, and optimize performance and organization across customer environments. You will consult with end users on advanced enterprise deployment, architecture, and integration topics, working closely with customers and partners to deliver mission-ready GIS capability.

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure ArcGIS in a wide variety of environments across operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types, and organizations to meet the customer's service level agreement; plan and execute the migration of content from one ArcGIS deployment to another, encompassing different architectures, deployment strategies, and software components; troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance on platform components such as storage, networking, and security; work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform; and collaborate internally to help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with the Esri technology platform.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities; experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online); broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux; working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#); familiarity with network concepts (domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing); experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL); US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility; and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field; one or more industry-standard IT certifications (Esri, Microsoft, Amazon); CompTIA Security+ certification; experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime and their associated APIs/interfaces; and cloud-based system operations (SysOps) experience.
