Overview

In this position, you will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, optimize performance and organization, and consult with end users on advanced enterprise deployment, architecture, and integration topics.

This team supports Defense and Intel clients and is part of a dynamic cross‑functional group of engineers delivering solutions for global communities.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS across diverse operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures, and customer types to meet service level agreements.
• Plan and execute content migration between ArcGIS deployments, handling different architectures and deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance for platform components such as storage, networking, and security.
• Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
• Collaborate internally to align customer technical objectives and business goals with Esri’s technology platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in a comparable role.
• Design, implementation, and/or administration of enterprise ArcGIS or related IT systems.
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#).
• Familiarity with network concepts (domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load balancing).
• Experience with at least one RDBMS and SQL query writing.
• U.S. citizenship with an active or current (within 2 years) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or a STEM‑related field.

Recommended Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or a STEM‑related field.
• Industry‑standard IT certifications (e.g., Esri, Microsoft, Amazon).
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, Desktop, Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and relevant APIs.
• Cloud‑based system operations (SysOps).
