Job summary

Sedulous Consulting Services is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the PM AAA and ACV program for the U.S. Marine Corps.

This role involves evaluating system performance, reviewing technical documentation, and assisting with engineering changes throughout the lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience with DoD acquisition programs, strong writing and briefing skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to engineering and program management personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in a relevant engineering field required.
  • 4–6 years of professional engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting ACAT I–III DoD programs.
  • Experience reviewing technical docs and ECPs.
  • Experience design reviews and test events.
  • Strong writing and briefing skills; communicate to engineers and PMs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
  • Review and evaluate engineering documentation (requirements, CAD drawings, ECPs, test plans).
  • Participate in design reviews and ECP reviews.
  • Observe hardware integration and system testing activities.
  • Analyze test results and provide technical recommendations.
  • Develop technical briefings for government stakeholders.
  • Support DLA Form 339 provisioning, PQDRs, and root-cause analyses.
  • Coordinate with government personnel, equipment specialists, and contractors to resolve issues.

About the Opportunity

Sedulous Consulting Services is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Marine Corps Program Manager for Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA). This position provides engineering support focused on the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program, working alongside Government engineers, equipment specialists, and industry partners to evaluate system performance, technical documentation, and engineering changes throughout the system lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience supporting DoD acquisition programs who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working directly with military customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering analysis of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
  • Review and evaluate engineering documentation, including:
    • Requirements documents
    • CAD drawings
    • Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
    • Technical review documents
    • Test plans and reports
    • DLA Form 339 documentation
  • Participate in technical design reviews and Engineering Change Proposal reviews.
  • Observe hardware integration and system testing activities.
  • Analyze test results and provide technical recommendations.
  • Develop technical briefings and present engineering findings to Government stakeholders.
  • Provide engineering support for:
    • DLA Form 339 provisioning activities
    • Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs)
    • Root cause analysis
  • Support production, depot, and manufacturing activities involving ACVs.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel, equipment specialists, and contractors to resolve engineering issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4-6 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting an ACAT I, II, or III DoD acquisition program.
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation and engineering change packages.
  • Experience participating in design reviews and test events.
  • Strong technical writing and briefing skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both engineering and program management personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Marine Corps.
  • Experience with Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) programs.
  • Knowledge of DLA Form 339 processes.
  • Experience with Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs).
  • Experience supporting depot maintenance or manufacturing operations.
Clearance Requirement
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is primarily sedentary work requiring the ability to perform tasks involving: reaching, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, standing, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Employees must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Work requires dependability, accuracy, strong judgment, and the ability to apply oral and written instructions. Must be able to make decisions that significantly impact the immediate work unit.
