Job summary

Actalent in the United States is seeking a Safety-Critical Control Systems Engineer to develop and integrate control systems for unmanned and optionally manned ground vehicles. You will contribute to embedded controls software development and work with cross-functional teams to ensure program success.

The role involves systems engineering activities, requirements development, and testing of embedded software using C/C++, Simulink, and vehicle networks such as CAN Bus and Ethernet.

Qualifications

Job Description: Safety-Critical Control Systems Engineer

Join our innovative team to develop and integrate safety-critical control systems for unmanned and optionally manned ground vehicles. Contribute to systems engineering activities, and support the development of embedded controls software, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful vehicle program execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate safety-critical control systems for unmanned and optionally manned ground vehicles.
• Support systems engineering activities, including requirements development, system architecture, SysML modeling, and software integration.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot embedded controls software using C/C++, Simulink, and vehicle communication networks such as CAN Bus and Ethernet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support prototype and production vehicle programs, including validation, supplier testing, and customer support.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in systems engineering, C/C++, Simulink, and electric vehicle technologies.
• Experience with Systems Engineering processes and SysML tools (Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw).
• Vehicle control system development experience (on-road, off-highway, or defense vehicles).
• Safety-critical software/systems development experience (MIL-STD-882E, IEC, UL 4600).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oshkosh, WI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
