Amentum Nuclear Projects is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager based in Oak Ridge, TN to plan, direct, and coordinate engineering for large, multi-discipline design projects for DOE and national laboratories.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and teams, travel as needed, and support life-changing infrastructure across the United States, with strong emphasis on safety and compliance. U.S. citizenship is required; PE in Tennessee preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of design experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong verbal and written communications at all levels.
• PE license with ability to obtain a PE in Tennessee.
• BS degree in a related engineering design field.
• Experience in multi-discipline design projects.
• Management of large interdisciplinary engineering teams.

Amentum Nuclear Projectsbusiness supports federal agencies, national laboratories, government-owned contractor-operated facilities, commercial nuclear organizations, and emerging energy technology developers. We routinely collaborate with specialists in process engineering, nuclear engineering, mechanical systems, electrical power systems, instrumentation and controls, civil and structural design, construction management, project controls, safety analysis, commissioning, and operations.

A unique aspect of Amentum is our participation in the management and operation of major DOE and NNSA sites across the United States through joint ventures and limited liability companies. Engineers can support ongoing operations, infrastructure modernization, facility upgrades, mission-critical systems, environmental programs, the NNSA weapons program, and new capital asset projects at some of the nation's most important nuclear and national security facilities.

Qualifications - External

• This position requires a minimum of 8 years of design experience with increasing responsibility
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and within the client organization.
• PE license with ability to obtain a PE in Tennessee
• BS degree in a related engineering design field
• Experience in multi-discipline design projects
• Management of large interdisciplinary engineering teams
• USA Citizenship is required. No Dual citizens or visas for this role

Preferred Qualifications

• Ideal candidate would have 12-16 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience in successful cost, schedule and contract management of engineering design projects
• Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a “Q”
• NQA-1 experience
• Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce a consolidate design
• Previous DOE Nuclear project experience
• Current or former US security clearance
• Master’s in engineering preferred
• A person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office

Attendance

On-Site Security training is mandatory before performing project duties.

Timely response to resolve issues is expected.

Travel required – As needed

Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

Compensation Details

$100,000 - $140,000
